When I created a series of works called "EQUILIBRIUM," I found the process so fascinating that I decided to further dedicate myself to this art. I began creating larger-scale objects that act as a "CANVAS" for experimenting with glaze and the possibilities of clay.
In my work, I use hand-building and coiling techniques, which allow for the creation of unique pieces with unpredictable imperfections with their own special texture and form. I work with stoneware, which gives my pieces a particular naturalness and depth.
I am exploring different approaches working with clay and glaze giving the opportunity to try new things.
This collection emerged in the search for inner balance. The process of creating these objects became a form of reflection on a new cultural environment. The spherical, straightforward shape symbolizes the pursuit of simplicity and harmony, while the rough surface of black textured clay refer to the contrast between chaos and calm, struggle and reconciliation. These objects embody the balance that arises from the tension between opposites.
This collection is an experiment with large forms, where the ceramic surface becomes a canvas for expressive glaze work. In the search for a pure, minimalist form that retains expressiveness in its simplicity, I explore the boundary between controlled abstraction and raw roughness. The form here acts as a blank canvas, where spontaneous interactions of color, texture, and gesture take place. Sharp, unrefined edges, as if carved from rock, emphasize the primal nature of the material.
